Terms of Business – Sort & Settle Glasgow

(Trading name of GB Visa & Immigration Services UK Ltd)

1. About Sort & Settle Glasgow

Sort & Settle Glasgow is a personal relocation and property search service based in Glasgow, Scotland.
The service operates as a trading name of GB Visa & Immigration Services UK Ltd, a UK-registered limited company with its registered office in Glasgow.

The service is independent and provides practical relocation assistance only.
We do not act as letting agents, estate agents, surveyors or solicitors.

2. Scope of Service

Sort & Settle Glasgow assists clients relocating to Glasgow by:

• discussing accommodation requirements and preferences;

• shortlisting available rental and purchase properties;

• arranging and attending viewings on the client’s behalf;

• providing honest feedback, photos and short videos; and

• liaising with letting/ estate agents to help progress an application.

Additional services such as tenancy set-up support or move-in coordination may be offered at agreed extra cost.

This service does not include:

• legal or financial advice;

• negotiation of tenancy agreements;

• property management; or

• any guarantee that a property will be secured.

3. Fees and Payment

• A base fee is agreed in writing before work begins and covers up to three property viewings.

• Additional viewings may be arranged at £75 per viewing.

• Optional tenancy-set-up or administrative support may be offered at £195 or £25/hour respectively.

• A deposit may be required to confirm the booking, with the balance due once the agreed service has been delivered.

• All payments are made to GB Visa & Immigration Services UK Ltd and are invoiced electronically.

• Fees are charged for time and attendance only; they are not dependent on a tenancy being granted.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

• If a client cancels before viewings begin, any deposit may be retained to cover preparatory work.

• If Sort & Settle Glasgow must cancel due to illness or unavoidable commitments before any work has commenced, any deposit will be refunded in full.

• Once viewings have been completed, fees are non-refundable.

5. Client Responsibilities

Clients must:

• provide accurate information about their budget, timing, and requirements;

• respond promptly to communication, especially when listings move quickly; and

• complete tenancy applications and referencing directly with the letting agent or landlord.

6. Liability

Sort & Settle Glasgow acts as a facilitator and local representative only.
We are not liable for:

• the actions or decisions of landlords or agents;

• referencing outcomes;

• property defects not apparent during viewings; or

• any loss arising after a tenancy begins.

Liability is limited to the total fee paid.

7. Confidentiality and Data

Client details are treated as confidential and used solely for the purpose of providing the service.
Information is shared only with letting agents or landlords relevant to the client’s search.
We comply with current UK data-protection law and are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

8. Governing Law

These Terms of Business are governed by the laws of Scotland, UK and any disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
