Calm, practical help before arrival and in the early months - from a local contact you can trust.
Most students and families I help need a mix of reassurance and practical back up. Particularly if they have never been to Glasgow before, or indeed, the United Kingdom.

Glasgow's Universities offer great reception and onboarding - but sometimes, families want a more personal, hands-on approach.
I don't replace what the University provides, I complement it.
I'm not an agency or a concierge. I'm a real person, based in Glasgow, who can handle the real world things that give you peace of mind. Whether it is indeed checking a flat, stocking the fridge, or just being there in case something goes wrong, Ill quietly help make the transition smoother.
Here's what you might be thinking - and how I can quietly help.
You've booked the flight. Filled out the forms. Paid the deposit. Your son or daughter is headed to Glasgow for University - and you couldn't be prouder!
But still..its a big move. Another continent. New systems. Different rules. And whilst they're technically and adult they're still your child.
You trust the University to do the basics. But who is going to check the flat you have been looking at online? Who'll notice if the estate agent or would be landlord has not been entirely transparent. What if something goes wrong in the first week and you can't do much from afar.
You're not looking to hover - just to know they will land well and have a 'go to' person on the ground if there is some troubleshooting needing done.
Thats where I come in. I am not an agency, nor a concierge. I'm just a local adult who can handle the real-world things that need doing - before arrival and in those early important weeks.
Just tell me what you would like done...and if I can help, I will.
"Check the flat before she moved in."
We just wanted to be sure that it was in good shape. He confirmed everything was working, including wi-fi and sent photos and sent a video.
"Stocked the kitchen and accepted a delivery. "
He picked up essentials and took delivery from IKEA. It made those first days easy.
"Just knowing someone was nearby"
Our daughter didn't need much - but it meant a lot knowing she had a calm local contact if something came up.
If you want someone local to make the transition smooth, just get in touch. I'll let you know what I can do.
